Considered a minor artist within the reactionary pedantry, Călin Nicolae Vasilescu was born in 1977 in Ramnicu Valcea, România. He practices an obscurely abstract and stylized form in conjunction with local interpretation of materials, of which mostly he gets his hands on wood. He lives about Bucharest.


He graduated with a Bachelor degree in Sculpture from the Camberwell College of Arts, London UK, in 2010, and exhibited along with Marian Gheorghe visual artist, in a solo show at Orizont Gallery in Bucharest in 2017.
